The Promise - Wurttenburg, Germany
The central design of The Promise was taken from a carved stone relief found over the Chapel Tower door of the medieval Rottewell Parish Church in Wurttenburg, Germany. The grape arbor surrounding the figures was added but is typical of gothic decor. |

Tobermory Cross Isle of Mull, Scotland
Tobermory is an ancient medieval seaport at the top of the Isle of Mull. Across the channel is Lochaline, the site of a 14th -15th century stone carving school that was associated with the nearby Holy Isle of Iona. This cross design is of our own invention, but incorporates all the Celtic symbols (the unending knotwork, the maze and the spirals) and was inspired by this ancient place. Size: 11 1/2" x 4 1/2" |

Columba Wheel Cross - Cornwall, England
The point at the center of the wheel cross represents the Most High God, the motionless mover, for the point at the center has no dimensions and cannot turn, yet all turns around it. Movement towards the center, towards God, is difficult against the centrifugal force of the turning wheel, whereas in the opposite direction, towards the outer darkness, no effort is required. The Wheel Cross developed in the Celtic world from the Chi-Rho monogram representing Christ. The letter X (Chi) and P (Rho), the first two letters of Christ in Greek, were one over the other. After centuries, this symbol came to be enclosed in a circle, thus forming the wheel cross. Size: 5" x 5"

Lorn Cross Lochgilphead, Scotland
The Lorn Cross design was found in a churchyard in a village in the district of Lorn, Scotland. The knotwork running the length of the cross is endless. It symbolizes the eternal theme: the Alpha and Omega - beginning and end in the eternal circle, the very essence of Celtic art. The outer circle represents heaven. Size: 6" x 4 1/2" |

Cross of the Scriptures Clonmacnois, Co. Offaly, Ireland |
 |
 |
135 - $28.00
This cross design has the circle in the center symbolizing God, the motionless mover. Although the wheel cross as a whole was originally a symbol for Christ derived from the Chi-Rho monogram, it came to symbolize heaven. The interlaced knotwork, so prominent on Celtic crosses, represented the beginning and the end of the eternal circle. Size: 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" |

Home and Heart Plaque
This garden plaque is an Irish blessing surrounding a design of lilies and ivy leaves. In the center and as a border on the outside are the typical Celtic knot work patterns.
This art piece can be used outside in all weather. It is equally attractive displayed within the home.
e bird near the center is presumably a swan. Birds, particularly water birds, were considered to be messengers between heaven and earth for they are equally at home on the land, the water and the air above. It is not one of the very ancient cross monuments, but from a later period. Its simplicity of design is very appealing.
